Congrats...

I had a bit of time on my extra day off and was able to do some blog surfing. Of course I had to hit my normal favorites and this time around Karen's blog was no different. She had a post about a week long event called "Stampin' Out Alzheimer's". I jumped right on board and so should you (link is in my sidebar)! It's a great cause that unfortunately has a large place in my heart with my Grandpa Stanley's memories and recognition of me being taken away. : (

I got right to her card sketch and incorporated the Jazzy Inspiration Challenge for the week for my color inspiration too.
I am really excited how this card turned out. One of my Mom's co-workers is retiring on Friday and through the years she has become a very special person in my life. I made this card a congrats on your retirement with the gorgeous butterflies cut from the SU Bigz die Tanya let me borrow! (Thanks Tanya!)I can't wait to give the card to Cathy.
Here is my card:

A close up of the butterflies:

Ingredients (all SU unless noted):
Itty bitty backgrounds and Congrats stamp sets; Basic black, Taken with Teal, and Whisper White Cardstock; Rainbow Sherbet DSP; Taken with Teal Classic Ink; Whisper White Craft Ink; SU exclusive Bigz die- Beautiful Butterflies; Clear and White Embossing Powder; and Labels Two Nesties

This is such an awesome card! I love how you used the die cut instead of the rectangle. Awesome job. A huge THANKS for your support this week for Stampin' Out Alzheimer's too.

Bravo, Bravo! I love what you did with the butterfly die. Love it, love it, love it. Are we going to get to see any more while you have the die? I need inspiration, GF! Bring it on!
