Cactus House...

While I was scrapping with my friends last weekend I started this layout:

I finally had a chance to finish it this past week. I am really trying hard to get my Korea album finished. This is one step closer.

These pictures are from Lori, Josh and My's visit to Jeju-do while I was in Korea. We stopped at this really neat place called Ilchulland. They had this huge "cactus house" that we walked through. It was really neat to see all the kinds of cactus.

I used my cricut cartridge called Calligraphy Collection, DCWV paper (both printed and the card stock) and this wonderful stamp from a company called Great Impressions. Steph picked it up for me last summer and gave it to me for my birthday. I have been patiently waiting to use it and another one she gave me.

I received my SAC layout...

Saturday's mail was full of goodies for me. I got my two new cricut carts I ordered, Life's a Beach and Lyrical Letters. Can't wait to play with them and show you what I create.

I also received my Swap a Crop layout from Shannon (Pattipanda). I just love what she did.

The map of Korea and the Korean spelling of the titles she included are wonderful. It will be a great addition to my book!

Stampin up layout...

I purchased a couple of SU! simply scrappin kits to try my hand at them. I am thinking of doing a scrapbook class at our local library using all kinds of tools I collected and figured the kit used below would be perfect for the pages. I think the theme is going to be spring/Easter project so everyone can come with pictures in those tones however, these pictures are from August and I think they work just perfectly. I'll be sure to show you some other examples I am creating with this kit and my cricut in hopes of a great class later on this spring!

I frequent Karen's blog all the time. I just love what she makes. Her projects are just so "warm and fuzzy" if you KWIM?!?! Love them. Anyway, this week her sketch was just screaming my name. I had some free time this evening and went to work. Here is my take on the sketch:

Second Attempt at an Owl...

Here is the second owl card I made. I am just in love with this cartridge. I think I like my first one the most but they are both pretty awesome. I did part with them both. Guess I better make a few more for my collection. lol

SAC Part 1...

Here is the layout I made for March's SwapACrop on the Cricut MB. I just love that plaid paper and was super excited to find a project to use it on. I know the recipient has received it but haven't heard if she likes it or not. Hopefully I will know soon. : )

Thanks for looking!

Owl Cutie...

You know I really had so much fun with the time I spent using my friends Wild Card Cricut cart. Here is the owl card I made for a friend. I just love it. The colors, the cuteness, it's perfect!

Have a great weekend! I am going to be spending Saturday scrapbooking with some friends. I am really looking forward to it!

Another Korea page completed...

I joined a challenge on the cricut mb. They have been doing them for a little while and I thought if maybe I joined in it would help me get a few more pages done. So, for March's challenge we were to use a tag cut from any cartridge. A double challenge was to use all scraps. I didn't go the scrap route because I bought this gorgeous elephant paper that I really wanted to use. Please let me know what you think.... I am going to wait through the weekend to see if I need to make some changes. I sent out some semi sneak peaks to two friends asking their opinions on colors. They were both very helpful! Thanks guys!

I used my new Printing 101 Cartridge from my Cricut Rebate (only $7.95 for it and My community if you purchased a E between certain dates... and well Mom and Dad did for me!) Mini Monograms for the large scallop circle (only possible due to the E!!!!) and George for the tag.

These photos are from my trip into Seoul with Lori. She took me to this Palace. Absolutely beautiful.... and right before we went there we stopped for gyros at this stand she had ate at when her and Josh visited. To top it off I had my first PEPSI in a week...tiny little can, too cute and soooo tasty. Oh the memories.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Don't forget to wear green today or you are gonna get pinched. I set out my green shirt this weekend just so I didn't forget. No pinching me! lol

I made this scallop card using the Wild Card Cricut Cart. The hearts are from Plantain Schoolbook. The greeting is from the SU set Water Color Wonders. I just love how it turned out. I forgot to get it in the mail to a special friend... guess I will have already have one card done for next year. hehe

I hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday.

To color in the chic I used pumpkin pie and so saffron classic ink pads with my blender pens.

It's been one year today since my kitty went to heaven. I miss him so very much. I still turn and expect to see him right behind me. I love you Dutch!

Cupcake love...

I made this card (and matching envelope) for a special little boy's birthday. I borrowed this cricut cartfrom a friend and had a lot of fun experimenting. I definitely have a lot of work to do. I have seen some amazing works come out of people using the Wild Card cart. Wowzers... someday.

Anyway, I hope you are having a great week! I have been swamped at work so I haven't felt like accomplishing much for projects during the evening hours.

It's sketch challenge time again over at The Sweetest Thing join in on the Sweet Sunday Sketch #7. I really had a lot of fun making this card. I used my new SU stamp set-A Good Egg, well new to me, to created it. This card makes feel a little happier knowing that spring is on it's way!

New Stamp Pad Storage...

I was in need of a storage for my stamp pads really bad! My plastic container was overflowing and I could never see what colors I had. I don't have but a small table to work on so something that sits on a counter was not going to work. I decided to pick up a Napa Valley Cassette holder. It works perfectly. Now to finish collecting more SU pads. lol

3.01.2009

Brrr, it's cold outside...

So, what a perfect time to do a little creating.

I got my supplies together and decided to make a card for a couple challenges. This card combines a sketch challenge and a color challenge.

The color challenge is from Kristina's blog here and the sketch challenge is from Taylor's blog here. I didn't have the correct blue color so I used baja breeze... wish I had the brocade blue. It would have looked a lot better. Oh well. For the chocolate chip color I used some Bella Rose DSP and of course the ink. Love that DSP! For the stamp sets I used Just Celebrate and Congrats.

SAC Feb Part 2...

This layout was a lot of fun to do for Shelia. I was hoping one of the pictures I received this month would allow me to do a spotlighting technique with it. And sure enough I got one!!!

It was really hard to make this layout masculine with the limited supplies I have here and no where to shop in town. I realize now that I need to invest in some paper more on the masculine side. : ) I got to use my new cart that came with my E for Christmas, Plantin Schoolbook. I really love that cart! I can see that this is one I will turn to for many more layouts.
