Just buzzin'....

I so love this stamp set, just buzzin' by. I was able to pre-order it in December and hadn't had time to use it until this past week. There are so many possiblities with it and those bee's are too cute.

I had seen some really cute cards make with this set in all pink colors. I do not have a lot of pink stuff so I went with a blue/green theme. It was a lot of fun to color in that house too! I am still working on shading and a good look for it but at any rate I think this turned out very nice.

Party Favors...

I just can't seem to get enough of these "sour cream containers". They are so easy to make and really quick.

I think I am addicted to that scallop square punch as much as I love my scallop circle punch. I was able to ink up a new stamp set and loved using my going gray ink pad for the "hi" stamp. That color is really growing on me.

Photo/Note clips...

Isn't it funny how we can use very simple office products to make something special? My office can have such a dull feeling that I love to add just a little of me to the simple things I use and well this is one...

I made these before and showed you it what I came up with. This time I used some different SU paper and that really cute curly label punch and stamp set. I am going to be putting a picture in one of them on my book case and the other will be used to hold reminder notes on my desk. (you can never have to many reminders)

Happy Birthday to you....

This is the card I made with some of my Sell-a-bration goodies. I picked up the paper pack and this stamp set I used for the card below. Check out this link for the sell-a-bration brochure. I think you will really like what you see. And just think, for every $50 purchase (before taxes and shipping) you can choose one of the items in there for FREE! Yeah!

This is also one of my make and takes for my Open House on the 1st. I wanted to do a birthday card because you can always give one to someone special on their special day. The SU set fundamental phrases worked perfect for the greeting.

Some Mom help.....

I was not feeling my "quilting" ATC swap that I joined. I just didn't know what to do what paper to use and how I wanted it to look. I try to challenge myself because some of the ladies I swap with are so talented. I don't ever want them to think mine are not all that neat if you know what I mean.

So I decided I wanted to do some stitching on the outside of the rectangle and then put batting between the layers for a quilted look. Thought long and hard about doing an applique on the ATC and this is what I came up with:

I flipped though my paper and found this really pretty, simple and kind of quilt like burgundy paper. Much to my surprise I found cardstock to match. I decided on doing a heart shape for the applique because the couple of extra samples/tests I made I could use on Valentine cards. I got the hearts cut out with my Cricut and then entered Mom into the picture.... I am not a very good sewer. My Mom offered to help me assemble and gave some great input on my batting location and stitch among other things. Thanks to her the sewing got done. If she hadn't stepped in the pieces might still be sitting on my table. Thanks Mom for the help!

Baby Shower "Bag"...

One of my co-workers had her baby shower this past weekend. I always try to make something for the mom as well as pick up something cute for the baby to wear. The baby's room is being decorated in browns and apples. Cute! I got the invite and wondered if this was the theme since the invite had apples on it. Anyway, I went to work decorating a very simple paint can for the present to go in. Maybe the new mommy can use it within her baby room decor?

New SU Paper...

Did I ever tell you how much I love paper? Well, I do and SU has a bunch of new paper in the Spring/Summer catty. The printed paper used in this card is called raspberry tart. I just love the colors. I got to use one of my new sets too!

I joined a Demo swap and each month we are to create card fronts using all current SU materials. I have now completed January's commitment... on to February.

Valentine Friend...

I just couldn't resist buying the valentine bundle SU had to offer this year and this is what I created using it and a few other supplies:

There is that wonderful SU Top Note Die. Love it! I made this card as a trial for my Open House I am having in February. I am doing two make and takes and this cute card is one of them! I think it is gorgeous. Now if only I could get some scrap pages done and leave these cards alone! lol

Card Challenges part 2...

So, January was going to be really busy but as I told you before I got an itch to craft... I also completed my March challenge cards, Fuchsia with flowers.

Here is my take on it:

I always try to make a few extra for my collection but didn't have any more fuchsia paper so I went with the blue. I have been trying my hardest to use things from my stash. It seems to be working really well. Thankfully I have a lot to choose from. Here is my "blue" card:

For both cards I used the SU set Warmest Regards, DCWV cardstock and printed paper, Making memories brads, prima flowers, SU ticket corner punch and SU old olive ink.

Card Challenges part 1...

The card challenge group I am in on the Cricut MB added a couple months to keep the fun swap going. I have really enjoyed all the cards I received so I decided to continue with the group. I am sitting out for the month of January... just too much going on. However, I had a itch to create this past couple of days and I got my Feb cards done, black with bling. What do you think?

I used the SU set Birthday whimsy (08 sellabration set), DCWV paper, ribbon from my stash, rhinestones from my stash (leftover from my Christmas cards. lol) SU ink and last but not least my favorite SU BS die... top note (love it!). We couldn't use glitter as our bling since we already had glitter as one of the design elements from a prior month. I added the rhinestones as my bling but still used some of that black paper from the glitter stack. Love it!
Enjoy!

"Old" Sell-a-bration set...

This card was made using the set "Merci" I have really enjoyed using it this last year. The butterfly is very pretty.

I can't seem to get rid of the set... but with the new Sell-a-brations sets coming available to earn with a $50 purchase starting Feb 1... I don't know what to do. lol I am going to start out growing my cube that my sets go in. Oh well.
Hope you have a super week!

SAC layout I made...

Remember how I told you I got to play with my new Christmas present for just a bit? Well this is what I did with it:
I made this layout for my December SAC assignment. I was super excited to cut a "HUGE" snow flake to use on the background of one page and it was made possible because of my new E. Wahoo! Thanks again Mom and Dad!

The new bug allows so many more options because I can cut bigger titles and page accents. One project on my agenda is to create vinyl letters for a quote that will go along the walls of my office. Haven't found the perfect quote yet but now with the E you will be able to see it from a distance.

My SAC Layout....

This is the layout I received back for the month of December. I just love it. I was really hesitant in sending in these pictures because my kitty is in them and since he is no longer with us I am a little protective of what I have left. The Daily Scrapper did a wonderful job on it! You can check out her blog here to see all the wonderful layouts she has been creating along with mine. She is very talented!

A few handmade cards....

I just had to share with you a couple of the handmade cards I received for Christmas this year. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did. I already have some ideas rolling from looking at these over and over again!
This one was made by my friend Jen:

This one was made by my friend Vivienne:

This one was made by my way up SU up-line:

And last but not least, this one was made by a fellow SU Demo and my cousin, Lori:

Great inspiration aren't they???

Looky, looky....

I am truly spoiled!!!! I know some of you already know that but I really am. My parents really surprised me this year for Christmas. They bought me this:

I played with my new E last weekend but can't wait to spend more time getting familiar with it. I have been wanting one for awhile now but it's not been a need since I have the lil' bug. But wow!!!! I have one now. Thanks Mom and Dad!!! I never would have guessed that they would have done this so it was, like I said before, a surprise. My parents have been so very supportive of my crafting addiction. They let me show them everything I create and will even make a stop at a new scrap store we stumble into while traveling. I love it and am glad I have such great support.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Wow, where did the time go? I can't believe it's already 2009. I have been so busy with "stuff" that I haven't been posting. I have lots to show so get ready for some posts. I was planning on spending the long weekend crafting but that hasn't really worked out. I have a couple sets of ATC's to finish, I signed up for another round of SAC, need to get ready for my SU Open House (really excited for this), two card challenges (one black with bling and one fuchsia with flowers) and crazy me signed up for a swap for SU demos. I am going to be staying out of trouble that is for sure!

I did have some great food and great time with my family over the last couple of weeks. I enjoy spending time with them and it's fun having a few long weekends to cook and watch lots of movies. I think I am about popcorn'd out though. Between my Dad, Mom and I we cleaned out a whole box of popcorn between Thanksgiving weekend and this weekend (if not more)!
