SAC Feb Part 1...

Here is the layout I made for Betty during the February swap. I really hope she enjoys it. Her family is so darn cute! It was fun doing something "girly." I thought about doing a monochromatic theme with pinks and decided to go with some printed paper with pink in it and spin off the other colors. So, this is what I came up with:

Thank goodness it's almost FRIDAY...

Today was a long day and I am pooped. It is my Mom's birthday and we just got back from a really yummy dinner. Lucky me I had left-overs so there will be enough for Saturday. Yeah! Now that by belly is full I am a bit sleepy!

Last night when I got home from a late meeting I found, on my doorstep, this wonderful layout from Anna!

She did a wonderful job. One more page to add to my Korea book. How many do you have done Lori??? hehe.

For my birthday Steph got me a couple really cute stamps to use on my Korea pages but I haven't inked them up yet. Now I am dying to have a little bit of time so I can use them. Anna's layout she made for me game me just the right spark. Oh, she also sent along an extra sheet of the background paper that is fabulous! I can't wait to make the other side to this layout.

Have a great night!

Happy Wednesday...

Wow, Wednesday is here already. I can't believe it! And not to mention, this month is almost over. Wow, wow, wow! I have had my sights set on participating in a couple challenges this month. Finally getting to the Bitten by the Bug contest for February. It's been torture with my idea brewing in my head and no time to create!
For this contest we were to use a heart somewhere and it couldn't be red. We also had to use at least one Cricut cut. On this card I use Storybook for the butterfly, Stretch Your Imagination for the card base, Doodlecharms for the heart card as well as the hearts in the corner. The stamp is from Technique Tuesday, ink is Bazzinks! and the thread is from my stash.

Jazzy Inspirations Challenge 6...

I was taking a peek at the color round-up on Kristina's blog and came across an entry that drew me to Cannie's blog. While I was there I followed a link to a new color challenge. It was fate... I was looking for a new color challenge and Kristina's is not up yet. Jazzy Inspirations has a lot of wonderful work posted. You should take a look here!

And now for my submission:

The challenge was to use Elegant Eggplant, Kraft, Whisper White, Rose Red and Pumpkin Pie for colors. I definitely think I met this challenge! Thanks for looking!

materials used: Elegant Eggplant, Kraft, and Whisper White Cardstock; Rose Red and Pumpkin Pie ink; Kraft and Pumpkin Pie Ribbon; Flight of the Butterfly Stamp set; and the scallop boarder punch. All supplies are SU!

Sketch of The Day...

I have been following this blog weekly and just love what Karen creates. This week I thought I would jump on board and utilize her Sunday Sketch. I hope to participate in many more to come! Please post and let me know what you think. This card is for someone special and perfect for the occasion. I got to ink up my brand new stamps I picked up at All That Scraps. Yeah!

Have a great week!

Oregon Trail ATC...

Well, here it is. I joined an ATC swap and the theme was a family heritage. I instantly had an idea and knew I would join. I remember seeing a wagon on the Paper Dolls cart and since I have relatives that traveled the Oregon Trail I would do something along that line. I asked my friend, Velva, if she would cut me a few Oregon shapes from her 50 States cart (One I don't have. lol) and she was kind enough to say yes! I cut the wagon out twice, once in brown and the second time with velum. I really like how they turned out!

Thanks for looking!

SAC for Feb, mine all mine...

The following is my first of two layouts I received back from February's SwapACrop. I really love this swap. It is so much fun. This month we had to create 12x12 layouts with one photo on them. I don't typically scrap with just one photo but so many people do. Here is what Jean created for me and the picture I submitted:

She added so much to this layout, rub-ons, ribbon, chipboard letters, pierced paper and cut that photo to look oh so wonderful.

This photo/layout is another addition to my South Korea album. I promise I am going to get it done during 2009

Thank you Jean! I love it.

My Older Brother Loves me...

My older brother really does love me!!! He always takes care of his little sister. And Valentine's day was no exception. He sent me this gorgeous bouquet of flowers. Oh my gosh they smell so good, simply beautiful! I just stare a them. He had them delivered to work but I took them home over the weekend to enjoy their scent and look. Tuesday, I brought them back to work and they make my office look so beautiful. I have gotten tons of comments on them. My brother did a wonderful job spoiling me! Thanks Shaun! I love you!

January SAC part 2...

Here is the layout that was made for me for Swap a Crop on the cricut MB. These pictures are from Karli and I visiting the Living Nativity here in town. For the last couple of years area churches have pulled together to make this happen. It was a wonderful display to walk though and a great learning opportunity. I am sure we will make a habit to go every year.

Happy Valentines Day....

Here is my last Valentine card for the year. It's too cute!

I used pink pirouette card stock, candy lane DSP, Love You Much Stamp set, and my new oval nestabilities. I stamped on the envelope for a little something extra for this Valentine.

Hope you have a wonderful Valentines Day!

January SAC part 1...

Here is the layout I made for Swap a Crop on the Cricut MB. The picture is horrible. Sorry about that but it is gone to it's owner so there is no chance of me taking another picture.

I got to use one of my new solution cartridges for the title. And for the first time I ran pictures though my cuttlebug using the SU top note die. It was a lot of fun!

Thanks for looking!

Goody box...

I decided to jump in and make one of these really cute boxes after viewing this tutorial over at Splitcoaststampers. I thought it would be really hard to make but it wasn't. Give it a try! It would make a cute box for your valentine!

I used Define Your Life and Sweet Stems for my stamps and raspberry tart DSP. Coral Cameo and Whisper White CS as well Kiwi Kiss ribbon.

Family...

I just love this picture and I couldn't wait to scrap it. I knew SU had the perfect paper, bella rose. This picture is from my BFF's reception with my younger brother, Mom and I.

Here is a detail of the embossing on the chocolate chip background cardstock. The set I used is Sprinkles (Thanks Michelle!)

I just can't keep from looking at it. I am trying to find a plate holder (the one I used for the pic is broken) and do you think there would be any in town? NO! Oh well next time I get out of the valley I will pick one up so I can prop this layout up in my office.

Valentine tiny treats...

I saw this project on another blog (sorry I can't remember right now which one) and new I needed to make a few of these. They are so easy! I was able to use some of my Love You Much Bundle from SU. I cut the red tops out of riding hood red and then stamped the love you much stamp set in the riding hood red on pink pirouette card stock. Then used the heart punch that cuts them out perfectly and applied them to the life savers.

Thanks for looking!

My first all SU scrap page...

I have never used just SU product before for my scrapbook but thought I would give it a try. I used the paper from the sell-a-bration promotion as well as the stamp set I used on the birthday card earlier.

I added in the use of the photo corner punch, ticket corner punch, the scallop boarder punch and my favorite top note die. I used my paper piercer on the photo corners to give them a little texture and also on the center of the flowers I cut out.

Lori, to you recognize these photos??? These pictures are after my BFF's bridal party had their hair and pedicures done. One page down for her wedding... million more to go. : )
