Jazzy week....
Well, yes it has been a great week, fast that is, but it's time again for another challenge from the Jazzy Inspirations blog. Here is what I came up with:

Head on over to see our album cover for inspiration and be sure to play along. Also, don't forget to check out what the other gals created this week. Links to their blogs are on my sidebar.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Monday is here again...
Another card using Thoughts and Prayers, one of my favorite stamps! I couldn't wait to get my hands on it and have loved using it ever since.
This card uses colors that are way out of my comfort zone... dusty durango and melon mambo... who would have dreamed it... well someone! : )

Got a busy week again. Crafting, crafting I go. Came across a new to me blog that is holding a design team call.. oh how I wish I could enter. You have to submit everything by the 15th. With the craft fair I am doing I just don't have enough time. : ) Bummer. On a wonderful note, Wednesday I am taking a machine quilting class. My goal is to quilt my Mom's wall hanging I made for her. I will show you a picture of it when it is completed.

October is gone and November is in full swing...
Wow! That is all I have to say! I can't believe that October passed me by. I don't know what I did with all the time. Crazy. I am in a full swing crafting mode right now. Getting ready for a craft fair the end of the month. I have a few cute projects to share with you if I can pull myself away from the crafting and onto the blogging. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
I had my monthly card class last week and the gals made four cards. Two that were fall themed and two that were sympathy themed. The following is one of the cards I made:

Thanks for stopping by.

It's that time............
...time for my first card as a design team member for Jazzy Inspirations. Wahoo!

For this challenge we were going off the "Sweets" Edison Album cover for the colors bright green, bright yellow, white and black. I have a large list of cards I need to finish for all kinds of occasions and this challenge was perfect for Lori and Josh's anniversary card! I hope they like it! : ) I was able to ink up my new SU set Herb Expressions. Wow, I love that set. Can't wait to use it again. I also used the set Wonderful Favorites which has something for every occasion.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Saturday! It's been a long humid day. Can't wait to see what is in store for me tomorrow! Don't forget to stop by the other design team members blogs and see what they created this week!

Razzleberry love....
I have been staring at my new stampin' Up! stuff for a while. The new colors are growing on me. I kind of had a jump start since I joined a swap and we had to use a new sneak peek SU set and products out of the catty that goes live on July 1st. This is what I created:

I did a lot of looking around to get some ideas for the card layout and finally my design came to life! Wahoo! Now I just need a few more hours to play with the rest of my new goodies and get a little scrapping in as well. Wish me luck!

Materials used (all SU): Cardstock- Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, and Whisper White. Razzleberry Lemonade Designer Series Paper. Kind and Caring Thoughts Hostess set. Markers- Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, and Old Olive. Misc.- Silver Brads, Distress Tool, Scallop Border Punch, Rich Razzleberry Pokadot Ribbon.

Congrats...
I had a bit of time on my extra day off and was able to do some blog surfing. Of course I had to hit my normal favorites and this time around Karen's blog was no different. She had a post about a week long event called "Stampin' Out Alzheimer's". I jumped right on board and so should you (link is in my sidebar)! It's a great cause that unfortunately has a large place in my heart with my Grandpa Stanley's memories and recognition of me being taken away. : (

I got right to her card sketch and incorporated the Jazzy Inspiration Challenge for the week for my color inspiration too.

I Scream for Ice Cream...
I saw this wonderful card over at one of my favorite blogs... and just had to make one of my own!

This card is so flipping cute. You could change the greeting and make it for so many different occasions. I was thinking of making a few of them for an ice cream party this summer. Hummmm sounds oh so yummy!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 12...
Yep, it's time again. I know it is late Tuesday night but I have been busy. lol. Here is the sketch for the week from Karen's blog:

This is such a simple sketch that can certianly be dressed up or taken just how it is. When I saw it on Sunday I knew I wanted to try something with it but with so much to do I didn't know if I would have time. Well, unfortunatly I had a need to make a sympathy card. I had few on hand but they were just not the "right" kind. So with my co-worker in mind I decided to take the time with this sketch and make him a card sympathizing the loss of his mother. So, crummy reason to make a card but I did enjoy making it and the sketch was fab to work with. Here is my take on it:

Now there is still time to take part in this sketch challenge and upload your link of your blog post on Karen's for a chance to be spotlighted. Go quick and grab your supplies!

A note...
I was telling you on Saturday that I made two cards in the process of working on my Jazzy Inspiration Challenge 9. Here is my second card that I made:

I really liked the card from yesterday but had my doubts in the skill for the card so I made this one. And in the end I liked my first card the best. This is the item I used for my inspiration on this card. I stuck with the purple tones cause I love purple so much!
Have a wonderful Sunday!

Breathtaking...
For April's SwapACrop challenge we are going off of the sketch to the right. When the swap was posted I knew it was perfect for one of my own pages. I couldn't wait to use it. This a great sketch to use for lots of photos or even throwing in some enlargements. There is still time to sign up for the swap... you have until April 5th....post a comment if you are interested and I will send you a link to the thread on the Cricut MB where it is posted. Okay.... after the sketch comes my page I created:

Close up of the journaling circle:

Showing off my Lyrical Letters title : )

For this page I used some retired SU card stock and printed paper as well as the SU set Embrace Life. These photos are from my first view of a temple while I was in Korea. This temple was smack dab in the middle of the HUGE (and I mean huge) city Lori and Josh were living in called Daejeon. The Korean writing and painting was absolutely beautiful. So calming with the hustle and the bustle of the city just outside the gate. Kind of crazy too!
