November Swap-a-Crop...

I received another wonderful layout from my Swap A Crop. Betty made this layout for me that will go in my "Korea" album. These pictures are from my stay at Daewonsona Temple. We (Lori, Josh and I) ate, meditated and slept with the nuns of the temple. Betty went above and beyond on this layout, so much detail the photo doesn't do it justice. The window frame even has mitred corners, I couldn't believe it. I love how she printed some of the photos out enlarged and some minimized, oh and the Asian paper she used is perfect!

Leaves are falling...

Can you believe that November is almost over??? I made some "fall" cards, well two sets really. One was for a swap I did a couple months ago and then I finish some of the ones pictured above just Tuesday. Time was running out and I really wanted to use some of Autumn Harvest SU paper as well as that beautiful stamp set. It was the first time I inked it up. I love it. Lucky for me (and you if you pick yourself up one) it comes with a couple different things to go on the trees or as a background. The possibilities are endless. I have spent a few hours drooling over everyone's creations over at SCS!

Little Birdie Thursday...

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I hope you are having a wonderful day and enjoying some special time with your families. I am looking forward to the turkey myself. Yum-O Trying a new cooking method myself. I can't wait to see how it turns out and most importantly, tasting it.

I made these cute little cards as a thank you for a workshop that was held by a couple ladies. I really love this "little birdie" stamp set. You may remember seeing me use it before for a wedding card for my BFF. The set comes with a lot of "greetings" so you can use it for all kinds of cards. You should check it out!

Goodies for my friends...

I made a fun project for some friends these past couple of weeks. I put my "top note" big shot die to great use by making little books. They could be used as a note pad or with a few pictures a cute little brag book. All materials are SU.

Fragments...

For my birthday I received a package of Tim Holtz-fragments from my friend Velva. I have wanted to use them for so long but didn't want to "waste" them either. I pondered using them on some cards or one of my ATC swaps but didn't have enough of the same size... plus they might be a little thick for mailing. Anyway, I was working on my Swap A Crop layout and knew this project was perfect to try out these fragments.

Here is what I made:

This months theme for SAC was submitting fall themed pics or if you didn't have fall pics the person creating your layout would use fall colors. I got some really cute pictures of a little boy a the pumpkin patch. So instead of using my Cricut to make little pumpkins I made square ones with the fragments and curled green paper for the vine. I will show you the pic of the layout next week, after I know the recipient has received it.

I really enjoyed using them. I still have more to use but I just might have to pick up some more. They are kind of addicting. If you haven't tried them I would recommend doing so. You will not regret it.

Wowzers...

Okay so I know you have heard me talk about Whiff of Joy Stamps, right? Anyway, don't think I told you but I finally got my hands on some! Yeah. Two dear friend of mine treated me to a belated birthday present a couple weeks ago and this is what I got...

I also got a Rachael Ann Miller Stamp and a Sarah Kay Stamp along with 10 sheets of EzMount to use with them. I was so thrilled. I have already stamped a few images of Willow and her mug but have not created a card with it yet. But you can bet as soon as I do I will be sharing it with you.. I would also love to enter it as a challenge, just have to find the right blog that is offering the right challenge. lol

Count down calender...

I joined a swap on the cricut MB and it was for calender pieces for Christmas countdown. I have always wanted to make one but never really got the shove to do it.
Doing this was a challenge because of the size we had to keep the pieces in, 2 inches by 2 inches. It's a good thing I have made a set of ATC's. It got me used to working on a small canvas. lol. I signed up for three sets so I could give the the finished two sets to some friends so they could make a calender too. Because you know I really don't need three of my own calenders. : ) I can't wait to see the other pieces the other participants created... it should be interesting.
